The San Diego mission trip is designed for rising 6th-8th grade students as an "introductory" mission trip experience. We'll be partnering with a local church to feed the homeless at a local shelter, serve the elderly, sort donations at a food bank, and pass out hygiene supplies to homeless around the city. The trip will also include a poverty simulation, where we'll learn about urban renewal and gentrification. There will also be lots of fun activities like afternoons at the beach, exploring the city, surfing, water tubing on Mission Bay, beach bonfires, and great food.
